Jan Kipp Kreutzer is the founder and Managing Attorney of the Elder Law Center of Northern Kentucky, a law firm focused on assisting clients with Medicaid planning and applications, trust and estate planning (including special needs trusts for persons with disabilities) and probate settlement. Assisting people of modest means with crisis and proactive Medicaid planning and Medicaid applications is one of our primary areas of practice.
Jan received her Bachelor’s degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Northern Kentucky University (1977) and her J.D. degree with honors from Chase College of Law in 1984. Following law school, Jan entered the private practice of law and has maintained an office in Newport since for more than thirty years, practicing primarily in the fields of Family Law and Estate Planning/Probate. During this time, Jan became aware of the need for attorneys who understand the unique needs and challenges of clients who are aging (and their families) and decided to create the Elder Law Center.
Jan is the former Chair of the Family Law Section of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association, is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and ElderCounsel, LLC and has been a featured speaker at numerous educational seminars in the area of Family and Elder law. She also has served on the Board of Directors of Holly Hill Children’s Services for many years, is one of the directors of the Clyde N. Day Foundation, and is very active in church and volunteer work.
She presently lives in Campbell County with her husband, Frank.
